Mughal gardens of Rashtrapati Bhawan is open for tourists

With strict COVID guidelines and social distancing measures tourist places are opening up again with few restriction and regulations. Amid all these situation Mughal gardens at President’s house is also ready to welcome its viewers again in cool pink month of Febraury till 21 March. Its annual Udyanotsav has been initiated from 13th February with bouquets of several flowers and its beautiful appereance. Visitors will be allowed in the sprawling garden, which boasts of thousands of flowers and plants, ranging from multi coloured roses, daisies to lilies throughout the week except Monday.

Key Points to know about Mughal Garden:

  • Mughal gardens remains closed on Monday for regular maintenance.
  • It will be soon named as Amrit Udyan
  • It open every year between February to March Month.
  • Here you can see variety of flowers and plants.

Spread over a vast expense of 15 acres, the garden takes its inspiration from Mughal garden of jammu & Kashmir. Mughal gardens is famous for its varied flora and fauna and spending beautiful time with your kids, family or friends at the greenery ambience of garden. You can have a glimpse of national bird peacock if you are lucky enough. The garden also grows 60 to 101 known tyoes of bougainvillaes. The gardens has almost 50 varieties of tree, shrubs and vines including Moulsiri tree, Golden rain tree, torch tree and many more.

Major attractions of Mughal Garden, Delhi:

  • Different varieties of roses like American heritage, First prize, Kiss of Fire, green roses with thin and long petals, Double Delight and many others.
  • Bulbous flowers as Narcissus, Dahlia, Ranaunculus, Hyacinth and Lily
  • Multi-coloured pansies and Alyssum flowering plants

Special rule for visiting Mughal Gardens in 2021

  • Visiting hours is 10 am to 5 pm with a lot of 100 people in each slot
  • Temperature check at the entry point and wearing mask is compulsory
  • Visitors will be not allowed to carry water bottles, cameras and bags.
  • Visitors can book online tickets for udyanotsav 2021. Entry ticket is free of cost and slot opens 7 days before the date you want to visit.

By metro: You can take a metro for central secretariat metro station in Delhi. From there you can walk to the Rashtrapat Bhawan or take auto richsaw.
